Stationery

I love writing hand-written notes to people. It's such a nice, simple thing to do but is so rare these days with the ease of email. Some of my favorite stationery options below:

Beads Galore

My mom is super talented. She beads these bracelets with her nimble fingers and somehow doesn't get bored. Look at all those little threads! This is my nightmare, but somehow it brings her joy so props to her. And it's great for me because I get to wear them.

Oh, hey

It's been a while, no?  Work is my life. I stay until the lights go out. It's like a horror film called "The Entertainment Publicist," one in which a young (?) woman sits at her desk, alone in a cold, dark office until one day she hears footsteps. It's the menacing janitor who's been taking and subsequently processing black and white images of her in the photography dark room in the building's basement. Blood, gore, etc.  These are the things I think about when I'm sitting at my desk at 10 pm. And I guess I also think about my clients. A lot.

On that note, has anyone heard of Trancor? It's a dietary supplement that evens out and stabilizes your mood. It basically feels like you just got ah-maz-ing drugs after a root canal or something. You flit about the rest of your day in a flowery, buttery stupor. I've had to cut back because of its lovely side effects, but it's great for when one foot's out the office window and tears are streaming down your face. And RELAX guys, it's all natural.

Cake Cake Cake Cake

Today marks the ##th*birthday of Miss Emily! I was once that age, not too long ago, actually just a year and a half ago…but I’ve done a lot of growing since then.

Emily’s the work sister I did not need. She is constantly screaming at me/giving me the silent treatment/borrowing my pens and not giving them back/forcing me to get water from the water cooler for her. But like all little sisters, she’s also a person I can throw a “side eye” at in meeting and know she knows exactly what I’m thinking/be mad at for 4 hours and then act like nothing happened/saves me from a 7 hour bad mood streak with a silly face. It’s the little things people.

Happiest Birthday to my little nugget to the left (she sits to my left)!

*Age is left out purposely. That is NONE OF YOUR BIZNAS.

Here is a dance I hope you all learn to celebrate her day of birth (and how I dance):

Mindy!

Today the only times I haven't been typing like a manic cartoon character at my desk I've been Googling "How many calories are in beets?" and watching this trailer for Mindy Kaling's new show on Fox, The Mindy Project. The excitement is unbearable.
